Afternoon Star

First star I see this afternoon; Opening up the whole sky to view the animal constellations hidden amid the other stars. This painting was inspired by pictures taken from the Hubble telescope, a couple of years ago. Look closely and you might see some of the night time constellations. The colors for this painting were made from colored clay slips that I mix for each painting. -.
